Beschrijving
Springstaal verwijst naar staal vanwege de elasticiteit in de blused en getemperde toestand, en specifiek voor de productie van veren en elastische componenten. Springstaal hangt af van zijn vermogen om elastisch te vervormen, dwz binnen het voorgeschreven bereik de mogelijkheid om een bepaalde elastische vervorming te weerstaan, zodat de belasting niet optreedt in de permanente vervorming nadat de belasting is verwijderd.
